Power of photography / El poder de la fotografía

Storys come and go. Each blink writes a new sentence in thousands of minds with each movement. Memories would be the dream moment you long to return or that nightmare that wakes you up in the mornings, depending on the results.

Photographs are evidence of that events, improving good memories with a clear image of the moment. Those work as entertainment, revenge statements, and motivational support. In the end, sports photography will frame a peak of athletes' performance.

The narrative is important to tell a story because, without a previous context, coverage can fall into the routine. The protagonist of our story can be our subject (in other words, the client), and all elements surrounding them are pieces to understand. I found it interesting to play with those elements to add suspense, facing two opponents (antagonists) under the basket for a bucket.

If it were possible, I would wish that all my protagonists have the happiest final of all. Making them score thons of points, goals, touchdowns, etc. But that would be boring and harmful for them, interfering with their development and making their achievements more rewarding.

Las historias van y vienen. Cada parpadeo escribe una nueva frase en miles de mentes con cada movimiento. Los recuerdos serían el momento soñado que anhelas volver o esa pesadilla que te despierta por las mañanas, según los resultados.

Las fotografías son evidencia de esos hechos, mejorando los buenos recuerdos con una imagen clara del momento. Esos funcionan como entretenimiento, declaraciones de venganza y apoyo motivacional. Al final, la fotografía deportiva enmarcará un pico de rendimiento de los atletas.

La narrativa es importante para contar una historia porque, sin un contexto previo, la cobertura puede caer en la rutina. El protagonista de nuestra historia puede ser nuestro sujeto (es decir, el cliente), y todos los elementos que lo rodean son piezas para comprender. Me pareció interesante jugar con esos elementos para agregar suspenso, enfrentando a dos oponentes (antagonistas) debajo del aro por una canasta.

Si fuera posible, desearía que todos mis protagonistas tuvieran el final más feliz de todos. Hacer que anoten toneladas de puntos, goles, touchdowns, etc. Pero eso sería aburrido y perjudicial para ellos, interfiriendo en su desarrollo y haciendo que sus logros sean más gratificantes.
